AVRORA - Company history

1945 - 1950

Creation of the systems of automatic regulation for marine power plants (boiler-turbine and gas-turbine plants of surface ships, as well as diesel plants for submarines).

1950 - 1960

For the first time in the world practice the systems of automatic regulation and regulators were created on the basis of amplifying stream relays, in which the water was used as a working fluid.

On this basis the power plants of destroyers, patrol ships, guided missiles cruisers of the USSR Navy were automated, as well as the plants of sea-going transport vessels: dry cargo, oil-carrying, fishing.

1957 - 1958

Creation of the first system of motion control for atomic submarines of the 1st generation.

The first system was created for automatic regulation of heat exchange of a nuclear power plant for atomic submarines of the 1st generation.

1960

The system was created for heat exchange control of the nuclear power plant of the first in the world atomic icebreaker "Lenin".

1960 - 1964

Creation of the first control system of nuclear power plant for atomic submarines of the 2nd generation.

1961

The first automatic control system of ship stabilizers was created.

1961 - 1963

Creation of control systems of diesel power plants for minesweepers, ASW ships, as well as for diesel-electric submarines.

Creation of the first ship systems of preparation and launch of sea-launched cruise missiles for atomic submarines of the 1st generation, as well as diesel-electric submarines.

1961 - 1966

Creation of the first control systems of general ship facilities, electric power systems, living facilities, compressors, refrigerating machines, as well as of a complex of torpedo tubes for atomic submarines of the 2nd generation.

1962 - 1964

Creation of the first motion control system for atomic submarines of the 2nd generation.

1962

The first control system was created for a hydrofoil ship.

1964 - 1971

The first systems of automatics were created for a large ASW ship, base ship, helicopter carrier.

1965 - 1968

The first system of automatic control of a deep-diving vehicle was created.

1967

The works were started in the field of special simulators. The first simulator was created for training of personnel of atomic submarines.

1968

The integrated control system of technical facilities, the motion control system and the running trim control system were created, as well as the system of torpedo-missile complex control for the first atomic submarine of high-maneuverability and reduced crew number.

1969 - 1972

The works were started in the field of medical equipment production. The first apparatus for artificial pulmonary ventilation was created on the basis of pneumo-automatic elements.

1970

Creation of the first integrated-automated control system of a diesel plant and general ship facilities of a dry cargo carrier.

1972

Creation of the first system of motion control for a diesel-electric submarine.

1975

Creation of the first complex of automatic control of a steam - turbine plant for civil ships.

Creation of the integrated control system of technical facilities for the atomic icebreaker "Arktika".

1976

Creation of the first simulator for training of a surface ship personnel.

1976 - 1979

Creation of the first integrated control systems of technical facilities and the complex of torpedo tubes for atomic submarines of the 3rd generation.

1979

Creation of the first complex of automatic control of a gas-turbine plant for civil ships.

1980

Creation of the integrated control system of technical facilities for the atomic guided missile cruiser "Admiral Ushakov" ("Kirov").

1981

For outstanding services in creation and production of new special equipment the "Avrora" Corporation Science & Production was decorated with the Order of October Revolution.

1984

Creation of the integrated control system of technical facilities for the atomic guided missile cruiser "Admiral Lazarev" ("Frunze").

1984 – 1985

Creation of the integrated control system of technical facilities for the Mausoleum in Moscow.

1985

Creation of the first integrated control system of technical facilities for an air cushion ship.

1986

Creation of the integrated control system of technical facilities for the atomic guided missile cruiser "Admiral Nakhimov" ("Kalinin").

1988

Creation of the integrated control system of technical facilities for the atomic lighter "Sevmorput".

1989

Creation of the integrated control system of technical facilities for the atomic icebreaker "Taimyr".

1990

Creation of the integrated control system of technical facilities for the atomic icebreaker "Vaigach".

1991

Creation of the high-performance system of dynamic stabilization of a drilling vessel.

1992

Creation of the integrated control system of technical facilities for the atomic icebreaker "Yamal".

1993

Creation of the first control system of ship interceptors.

1996

"Avrora" Corporation Science & Production became a "Golden Business" prizewinner.

1998

The enterprise received the Certificate of compliance of its quality system with the requirements of the international ISO 9001-96 standard.

Creation of the control system of municipal purchases for the administration of Saint-Petersburg.

"Avrora" Corporation Science & Production became a "For Quality" prizewinner.

Creation of the integrated control system of technical facilities for the atomic guided missile cruiser "Piotr Velikij".

"Avrora" Corporation Science & Production became a "Golden Mercury" prizewinner.

1999

By the order of the RF prime minister the "Avrora" Corporation Science & Production was given the status of a Federal Scientific and Production Center.

Creation of the new generation automated combat control system for diesel-electric submarines.

2000

Creation of the onboard integrated control system of technical facilities for the high-speed electric train "Sokol".

"Avrora" Corporation Science & Production became a "Crystal Nika" prizewinner.

2001

Creation of the automated control system of the terminal for reloading of mineral fertilizers for the Murmansk port.

"Avrora" Corporation Science & Production became a winner of the contest "The Best 1000 Enterprises of Russia".

Creation of the control system of emergency protection system under the technical parameters of the first power unit of the Leningrad nuclear power plant.

"Avrora" Corporation Science & Production became a "The Symbol of Public Acclaim 2001" prize winner.

2002

Manufacturing of stabilizer control systems of Dolomit and Sherl type active fin stabilizers.

Manufacturing of autopilot system of Korraks type.

Awarding Experts’ Prize for Professional Reputation based on results of activities in 2002.

Awarding Honorable Diploma at the IXTH exhibition “Power Generation and Electrical Engineering".

2003

Handing over to the Customer the technical facilities automated control systems for the frigates of the Indian Navy.

Awarding the diploma for participation in the First International Maritime Defence Show. Avrora Corporation S&P won the Prise for the Best Design of Exhibition Stand at the Show.

Lenexpo JSC awarded the honorable diploma of the specialized exhibition and forum “Rescue Aids. Extreme-2003”.

Awarding Avrora Corporation S&P the diploma of participant of the exhibition “Ambulance – 2003”.

2004

Manufacturing and supply of the sets of action information organization systems for diesel submarines of the Chinese Navy.

Development of control consoles intended for conning bridge and arranged within integrated bridge systems.

Development and manufacturing of specialized training simulator of MPP, EPMS and ACS control.

2005

Supply of Sever-M1 technical facilities integrated control system (TF ICS) for automation of nuclear-powered icebreaker 50 Years of Victory.

Awarding the diploma for participation in the International Maritime Defence Show.

Avrora Corporation S&P won the Prize for the Best Exposition and the Prize for the Best Exhibit.

Manufacturing and supply the sets of automated action information organization systems for diesel submarines of the Indian Navy.

FSUE Avrora Corporation Science & Production was transformed into Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association Joint Stock Company (Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association JSC)

Since 2010 until now

Inauguration of the overseas Liaison Office of Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association JSC (St. Petersburg) took place in Mumbai, India, on June 04 th, 2010.

Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association JSC is the major designer, manufacturer and supplier of technical facilities control systems for the Naval ships, as well as for the commercial ships of all classes and functionalities, deep-sea vehicles, hovercrafts and hydrofoils.

Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association JSC manufactures commercial control systems for offshore or land-based objects of oil and gas exploration and extraction, for electric power stations and electric transport and also develops and commercially manufactures medical equipment.

Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association JSC has been participating successfully in implementation of the Federal Target Programme 'Development of Commercial Maritime Equipment' for 2009 - 2016.
